Here's another story for you guys :)

As the title suggests, another teacher cried.

The showdown happened sometime last week with a normal tech class. The class was supposed to bring their music files from Week 1 but there were about 8-10 girls who continue to show up without their files to music lessons for the past 7 weeks. J gave them a lecture about how horrible their learning attitude was a made references to how they would get fired by their bosses if they continued to act this way. She proceeded to talk about other real-life applications when one girl asked,

"'Cher, why are you talking about life when it's music lesson now?"

A few people were shocked but they were somehow amused. Some threw that deathly stare which signalled "cut it out" while others remained silent.

So J and the girl bantered back and forth when another girl from another corner of the classroom chipped in and said "There's no point in buying a file since music isn't that important"

"Yeah I will just throw the worksheets away anyway"

"Some of us just aren't interested in music or we don't want to pursue music as a career"

By this time J and a group of girls were disagreeing over the importance of music and why they should/should not be bringing their files. Disagreements turned into arguments and this continued for about half an hour before J stopped it and decided to proceed with the lesson, but straight to the theory bit (instead of the lesson with videos).

At the end of the lesson the bantering ensued again and the girls were sent out of the class. When the whole class was dismissed and it was only J and I left in the music room she cried.

I...don't know what to say anymore.
