Saturday, December 21, 2013 @ 12:54 PM Went christmas shopping with Al today right after she came back from her cruise to Langkawi! We met at 3:30pm and we shopped for about three hours because we couldn't decide what to get for our friends but we picked up most of our gifts before we ate dinner.

We picked up lots of gifts for as many friends and family members as we could, some of which were meant to be belated presents but we also bought additional gifts for Christmas as well. We came home with minions, books, cool mugs, phone cases and plushies :)
Lately, I've been trying to keep myself busy so I picked up some basic sewing skills and I decided to make some plushies to practise! On the day before I met Al, I picked up some craft supplies and I started sewing ever since. For those of you who don't have instagram/do not follow me on instagram, here are some shots of the plushies which I made over the past 2 days. I made a lion first (which looked rather ugly because I had no idea how to put all the pieces of cloth together and I made so many mistakes while I was sewing them together. From the front it looks okay but the back of the plushie looks hideous (see photo at the bottom)

I must say that each plushie looks better than the previous plushie! I'm quite proud of the purple squirrel which was my best attempt at sewing out of all the three plushies. It's a shame that I ran out of light pink yarn for the bunny but it wouldn't make sense to buy a whole ball of light pink yarn to finish up a small portion of the bunny's head so I used my leftover dark pink yarn instead.
I might make more of these plushies if I can remember to pick up more craft supplies over the next couple of days. Will update soon xx
