The Great Escape

Spent the New Year with my awesome new (and current) friends in TPO! I never imagined I would spend the last few hours with TPO and make beautiful music, the one outlet which has always made me happy :D I'll let the photos do the talking.

The wonderful orchestra I performed with at midnight

The awesome and hilarious maestro Mr Lim Yau

The two very, very, very talented sopranos with amazing voices

The Count Down!

Our level of bored x1000 because we had extra champagne glasses and kachang puteh nuts

My awesome stand partner/SL Christina who made practice sessions so much fun and helped me make my TPO experience much less awkward and a lot more enjoyable than I had anticipated

(We were clearly not prepared for this photo)

TPO NYE Concert V2s! (and our semi-silly faces)

Last but not least, with this girl with whom I am so glad to make good music with :)

Apparently there were musicians who kissed on stage after the countdown performance HUEHUEHUEHUE.

I'm so glad to be given this opportunity to play good music and this is my first time accompanying solo singers. The role of the orchestra is a lot different (and a lot more boring in some places) but I have zero complaints because I had so much fun! People were standing up, dancing and letting loose while we were performing 'The Peanut Vendor' and the applause after that was just thrilling!!! I remember Christina and I just laughing in awe after the piece ended.

So many feels :D

On a more somber note, scheduling so many activities and keeping myself busy was just a way to distract myself from the sadness I've been feeling for a while. It gets easier everyday, but there are little things that trigger some unexpected emotions I myself can't comprehend. To a happier 2014, and happy new year to all of my readers :)
