Saturday, April 20, 2013 @ 9:11 AM Yesterday has got to be one of the happier days in my life.I never thought I would get to see so many familiar faces apart from my beloved HCSE stringers. I'm really happy that a lot of my juniors continued to choose strings as their CCA in junior college, as I did because I didn't want any other CCA. And to think even my primary school friend could still remember me after a whopping 8 years or not talking to each other. I recognised her instantly the moment she called out my name and it was a really quick but happy reunion.

I'm still quite angry at myself for being too shy to ask people to take photos with me. ): If not I wouldn't be stealing photos from people's facebook albums/ would have more photographs with friends. I never thought I'd bump into my childhood friend/neighbour, Charlene, at RP too! Her house is undergoing renovation now and she moved somewhere else temporarily and we haven't seen each other nor kept in contact after primary school. It was a super pleasant surprise. Wasn't expecting that at all. :) Brings back many many fond memories and even though I wasn't that close to many people in the list above, we were all pretty excited to see each other and it make me feel better since I was pretty much by myself in republic polytechnic while the rest of the stringers were just hanging out with each other. All the embraces and well wishes were very heartwarming :) That feeling of being remembered is really sweet. With that being said, 6 years of string ensemble is coming to a close. I cannot be sure if I want to continue pursuing string ensemble as a CCA in university but I will definitely continue to play the violin and bring out the best in what music has to offer for me. I feel sad that I have to leave this really awesome family who has been really accepting of me. Couldn't have asked for a better second family, couldn't have asked for a better ensemble, couldn't have asked for a better group of buddies who love making music. I can't believe this journey will end so soon ): I will miss everyone so, so very much. Especially you. There is no question that HCSE will do very well upon the release of SYC/SYF results this coming monday. The results don't matter THAT much, but we put up an amazing performance. BRAVO! <3>3> |
