Ahh...satuday. I'm afraid i may not post that often from now. I had a common test yesterday (Chemistry), so I had to study. My schedule was tight and i guess I had no time to blog about it. Ha! I watched a SSO concert yesterday with Pearlyn. I guess that people who enjoy listening to orchestral music expect PERFECT SILENCE. When Pearlyn needed to drink some water, she had to unzip her bag. When she had done so, the person in front of her turned behind and said "SHH!". So, she had to zip the bag inch by inch S-L-O-W-L-Y. For me, I had to flip my paper the other way round to see what I have written, the man two seats away from me half-stood-up and stretch his arm and pretended to smack the paper (or something). Then he said "SHH! SO NOISY..." I was thinking like-- I hardly made any sound at all!!Why am I being blamed for something so small? When the concert ended. That same man stood up and told me," You are so noisy! What are you doing? You Singaporeans... I wanted to shout out and say "W-t-h I came all the way for to do a concert report and we can't even enjoy the whole show as we had to take down notes. At least you could sit back and enjoy 119 our ot 120 minutes! That one minute was when you made a fuss out of a slight movement of a piece of paper. my friend and I could only enjoy like less than half of it! Please show us some respect!" Anyway, it's already over, no point pondering about it, right?

Righto. Chen lao shi is no longer teachning us Chinese students anymore :( She'll be flying back to her hometown. We did throw her a mini farewell party (is it not?) with two really lovely cakes and a present (a teddy bear with a balloon with a card we wrote). Chen lao shi did break down, even I wanted to when I saw the scenario. OH WHY?! Wish she did not have to leave, we would not need to sob and miss her! (and vice versa =D) At least we have her MSN email, so in terms of communication, it's covered. We can chat with each other and update each other on stuff. One Loyalthians, we'll miss her dearly, won't we?

I have printed out my report (MEP) about the concert and I have filed it neatlly in a folder. I'll have to remember to hand it up by 25 July. That's a long way isn't it? That's fine with me. I least I got over it. One assignment completed! hurray!
THAT REMINDS ME- we have an MEP project to do. In groups of 4/5 we have to write out a poem. Then each of us will have to create a song out of it. What's the bad thing? We have to present it in front of the whole class. You got it. Singing. In front of 38 people (or so). There's accompaniment by my friend so at least there's some help here......gosh. Can't wait to get over it. I don't want it to happen. So I want time to fast forward to October 24 so that I can have my holidays. haha. But that's impossible. *Sigh..*

Okay, I need to do work now. I'l rather complete it now than later.

WHOOPEE! FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!

Okay, I am still abit upset. I want more holidays yet I need to go back to school for lessons and tests and more assignments and portfolios and more and more tests. *sigh..*
Well, I was a bit surprised when Ms. Law asked me if I wanted to be an English Monitor. I was glad that I was asked (not that I'm being proud or anything) because I was made a Chinese Monitor before, and Chen Lao Shi didn't give me any jobs to do, not even give out worksheets to the class or collect her books from her table. I wanted to see what it's like to be a subject representitive and DO SOMETHING. Well now I am the new one, and I hope I'll do a good job in it. Wish me luck!

On my desk I have a Mr. Midnight book #41. I borrowed it from a bookstore yesterday. Outside they showed a poster regarding the releasing of three new Mr. Midnight books. I was really interested cause' I used to be a fan of that series. Too bad that bookstore didn't carry those books in the Mr. Midnight range. How sad :(:(:(

Everything's new at school, the timetable's changed(goodie because I was not looking forward to the ACC Test anyway), new teachers are replacing a few (noooooooo!!!), new grades (cohort average) and more new and new stuff. I want everything to change (for the better, of course) except for the CHANGING OF TEACHERS!!! Unfortunately nothing is going to be done about that. What's done is done, right?

Actually I am not that upset Chen Lao Shi is leaving (But I still am!!!) because I have her email (hotmail) with MSN =D

Now it's 4.26 p.m. I will be having dinner with my uncle and aunt later at 7 p.m. We will be having sort of like a meat-based meal. With duck, Charsiew, and stuff like that. Actually I am using my mom's computer upstairs (here)...and I am unhappy about this because the spacebar is faulty (actually it is hard to press it, that's all...) and I have to like smash it just to type what I want to say. I don't use words in short-form to type like "c u l8r" and stuff like that so I will be having a harder time typing. Arrggghhh!

Woah, today's Saturday and we students only have 2 days left till' school's back! For people who have yet to finish their school holiday homework, I feel so sorry for you...just joking! For people who are holiday boogies (like me, I guess)...LIFE IS UNFAIR AND WE DESERVE MORE THAN WHAT WE GET!!! Apparently nobody will do something about it =S

It's blooming hot now. I went to Vivo City yesterday to watch "Get Smart". Boy did I like it! It was action-packed and it was really cool. It's all secret-agenty and full of unexpected surprises. Especially near the end. I couldn't stop laughing at one point too =D
I went to Toys R Us too. Bought another 2 balls. I was surprised to see that quite a number of the machines have changed!!! There was a man changing the balls, filling the machines right to the brim. Finally I spotted a machine that I wanted, with only one ball left. Immediately I went to ask to buy it real quickly becaause it was just irresistably cute! The man asked me to give him either a 2-buck note or 2 one dollar coins. I said that it was okay because I had 2 one dollar coins in my hand so I can just turn it myself. Did you know he asked me to give it to him and he turned the knob of the machine himself? I wanted to do that myself but I don't know why he wanted to do that. I guess I wanted to get things done quickly before I redeem my free popcorn and large coke so I didn't say anything. But I really wanted to do it myself. It's supposed to be D.I.Y. Oh well, that's all right. At least I got some nice stuff to me=D

You should watch "Get Smart". It's nice and cool.

After struggling with this stupid cranky spacebar, I managed type what I want. Whoopee!

OH YES BEFORE I FORGET. I am thinking of changning my blog skin to a panda-kind of theme. Should you spot one nice one, please let me know either by email or via my Chat box. (just copy and paste the link of the website that you found the panda skin. Thank you!!

Right, so sorry for not posting yesterday. I was doing C.I.P again at the library. Luckily I came home earlier than the week before because the evening rush hours were not that badly affected than it was. I left the library at 5 p.m. (unlike 5.45 p.m. that week). That week was horrible. I was squished with loads of people and when it's packed, it's really stuffy and it was so jam-packed that the people surrounding me were only a 1cm distance apart. Squishy, isn't it?

I memorized the "san zi jing" already since a few days ago, and now revising the "ming yan"...

Hey, I think my hamster is pregnant!!! She appears REALLY FAT, her tummy is dark blue, she eats a lot, drinks a lot, she's really sensitive when she's being touched...I was just giving her a stroke on the head when she turned around instantaneously and tried bite my finger. I wasn't hurt (feelings-wise) by her action as I have been through this process before. Meteor's a first time mommy, wishing her all the best durnig her pregnancy and after that =D

Hmm, my mom won't be happy if she hears about this. She was so delighted to hear the last time that there were no more pregnant females anymore and thus the population would not increase. Well, I am hoping she is right yet wrong. I don't want to be responsible for like so many hamsters, do I? So, once she has given birth and has gotten everything in control, I may plan to give some of the babies to some lucky people (when they have hair and can eat and open their eyes). But of course, I am not promising anything. I will let all of you know when the special day has arrived and you can email me your response.

Gosh, today's lesson made me really freaked out. Here's what happened.

My teacher was giving us back our composition while reading out the marks (generally it's all right as everyone did pretty okay.) I was waiting to receive mine, and the marks the teacher was reading out was getting lower and lower. Until she said a 62, my heart dropped. I never did that bad before!!! I guess that was the last compo in her hands, so she turned around and looked at me. She said (in translation, of course) "Amanda, I want to scold you..." I was SO SHOCKED....WHAT DID I DO WRONG??? Then she continued "Did you copy from another composition?" I was like "What--? Since when...erm...I didn't..." Then she said, " Then why is it that your compo was written well???" I was speechless. Seriously, nothing came out of my mouth. Then the teacher laughted and said "You got tricked. I was just demonstrating of what we will be learning (to write) today. I could tell that Amanda's mood suddenly changed and many thoughts started to run through her mind, even her face started to turn pale. This was because she was accused of something that she did not do, and thus the reaction. Nice work for the composition =D" DID YOU KNOW HOW RELIEVED I WAS WHEN I HEARD THAT? I don't mind the teacher saying about my expression changing, because that's normal if it happened to you, right? (Okay, maybe not.) Other than that, the lesson was nice and fun =D=D=D

Seriously, the dates are wacky.
I am going like "wth" everytime the wrong dates appear.
I find it annoying.
Really annoying.
Hmm...
I need coffee.
So that I can survive.
As I need to do work today.
So my mom will be pleased.
I have to take note of what I do.
And tell my mom what I did for the day.
And it has to be good.
Or it won't be good.

A brand new day...

Yesterday in my Chinese class, we were writing about "zhen mei xiang dao...". The teacher gave us a worksheet with a few paragraphs with situations we are supposed to fill in the ending of the small story. After completing the worksheet, the teacher said we could either pick one out of the six paragraphs for the composition the next day or just write a random one.

Today, I wrote something regarding my mommy (no offense). About her being strict and having high expections of me and when I did not do to well in a test she would give me a hell of a time. I got 51 marks for a test and I had to show my paper to her and she had to sign it. "Zhen mei xiang dao..." not only did my mom NOT scold me, but she told me to try my best and do better next time. The rest are super boring, just describing how my mom reacted, how I reacted and what we did afterward (which was just celebrating). The ending was simply because my mom bought 4-D a few weeks ago and while listening to the radio today she heard that she had one first prize , which is like s$1,000,000. So she was too happy to be further upset-ed. And that she was too happy to care about my marks. Wow.

But I did write my ending sentence a little too wacky. I think it's best if I did not say it :)

Oh goodness I haven't posted for quite a while. On Friday I went with Pearlyn to do some shelving. I was so pumped out I had no more energy left to move a single muscle. On saturday, My mom FINALLY brought me to Vivo City =D. I went to Toys R Us and wow-wee there was like two walls (sides actually) filled with Capsule machines (Ones that you insert a dollar and you turn the knob and a plastic ball rolls out). I was gobsmacked from what I saw. I coudn't resist and bought 2. There were actually 2 ladies (adults) who spent over 10 dollars on one machine about plastic treats in a form of keychains. I thought they would leave when they were done but instead they went to change for more money and they kept turning the knob....It's like the level of balls was like 3/4 and above, and when they finally left, the level was like 1/4 of the machine...Wow...Haha=D

Today I went out (Thanks Uncle Sebastian and Aunty Siew Kuan =D), to the Farmat Seletar or something and then when to The Playground, at Big Splash. I thought it would be a water park from the name, but it turns out that it was like a mall near a beach which was really beautiful. I enjoyed quite a time at those 2 places. At the farm, This flock of birds were like following my cousin, uncle, aunt and I. They were assuming that we would feed them...but they were correct, we did buy some food and fed the hungry people. Only then did I realize there was a turkey sitting down fluffing his feathers and he did not get any food at all. The rest of the birds like chased us for it...Sorry, little guy!!

Gosh, I am tired but happy for today...

I have finally made up a simple wishlist for ME should I celebrate my birthday in school (that's impossible actually, for my birthday is in December...)

1. Anything GREEN in colour (except goop, grass, vegetables, that kind of stuff)
2. Keychains/Plushies etc. related to Pandas (Rhymes with me so why not?)
3. Anything about GARFIELD!!(my no.1 favourite cartoon. Forever.)
4. Stationary (You got it. I love green stationary especially)

That's about it. I never really wanted a new digital device(s) or anything expensive. Should you get me a gift regarding 3-4 of those categories above, tell you what, I LOVE YOU =D

Hey did you realize that today's weather is EXEPTIONALLY HOT?! I was deliberately roasted from the heat when I was walking home! >:( And the distance from the bus stop to my house is miles and miles away. I was literally burning. Alive. Now's the time I wish it was raining heavily...I WANT AN ICE CREAM!
All the homework I am left with is the science reflection thingy and the chinese composition. and studying for ACC.

Hello again:)

I AM OFFICIALLY CURED OF MY COLD! Even though I still have to blow my nose sometimes. Well, it's good to be well again. I can do what I want, eat what i want, drink what i want and you know, just do what I deem fit. I have finally memorized the "san zi jing". Now I just have to pratice writing it out :S. I will be doing some C.I.P tomorrow with Pearlyn at the Bedok Community Library, so the whole day would be gone when I am done with the C.I.P. I will be hanging out with Chynna (I love you sister*!!!) on Saturday. Going to walk and shop, I guess =D
It will be 11 more days until the holidays are over and we are back to school...
Is that bad or good??

*Chynna is not my biological sister, but she has been such a great pal for like 5 years now (and still counting!) I treat her like my big sister :)

There's certainly something wrong with the dates here and there, so don't be so surprised why there are so many posts on Tuesday (as it says) The first 3 posts of Tuesday you see are written today, 11 June. The timing's wrong too. What a mess..

Hey I read this in a book:

"Insanity is heditary. You get it from your kids."

(Psst, an adult said that in the story, not a plain regular kid)

Thought it was kinda nice :) What do you think? Do you agree?
So it's like if you're crazy, your parents are bound to get crazy because of you...

Hmm...today's the 11th of June. Just came home from my Chinese holiday class. (I still have one more week to do!!)

~HaPpY bIrThDaY xIn JiNg~
~hAvE a BlEsSeD bIrThDaY~

I put a note in my pencil case to remind me it was Xin Jing's birthday today. I kept telling myself to remember it, and in the end I wasted ink and paper just trying to write it down so I would not forget :S...silly me.

I am still trying to memorize the "san zi jing" for the ACC test on the first day of school. Typical. It's not an open book test too so it makes things more difficult. Luckily I am studying some Chinese History for my Chinese holiday class that I am attending now. Hope that helps...

Hooray! the cold's almost gone. For all of you who caught a cold, or just to listen to what I have to say, here's what YOU can do to clear your nose (temporarily) and some don'ts when you have a cold.

1. Wash a face towel (yours) with hot water. Then, fold it up until it is shaped like a small rectangle and place it on top of your nose. Press the bridge of the nose gently continuously with your hand on top of the towel (don't laugh, it really works!). After a while, when the face towel is not that hot anymore, remove it. Your nose should be quite cleared. Although it's only temporary, at least you don't suffer for that short while :)

2. Flixonase is an Aqeous Nasal Spray that can help cure your cold. You should be able to get it at a nearby pharmacy or your family doctor, or something...

3. Don't keep blowing your nose (like I did). I became Ruldolph the Red Nose Reindeer last night when I was brushing me teeth. You should have seen me! My nose was pinkish-reddish, like Ruldolph's nose! Haha, so don't keep blowing your nose :)

4. It's not good to drink cold water or any other "substnace", as it will affect the cold. My friend also suggested that you (I, actually) should not spend in an air-conditioned room for too long, and it would be best if you just switch on the fan.

5. If none of the above really helped you, then just do what you usually do when you catch a cold. As simple as that!

I am still using the loo rolll from my sister's toilet. She's overseas studying now so I don't think she would mind. 1/2 of the trash bin full of tissue paper. I should not be talking about miserable stuff or else I will be more miserable! Anyway, I am planning to do some C.I.P. this coming Friday, 13/06/08 at the Bedok Community Library. Even though shelving books is something I don't really know how to do or at least something I don't really like, it's worth a shot to do something new. Maybe that'll teach me to look for books myself when I am in MY FAVOURITE LIBRARY. I am probably doing it for about 4 hours, as Bedok is quite far away from my home. Luckily I am only going after my chinese holiday class, for the amount of time taken for MRT to travel to Bedok from Bugis is quite short and I need not change MRT trains.

By the way, the cold is getting worser :(

With this stupid cold I can't smell what my maid's cooking in the kitchen, my hamsters (thank goodness!), my cheese rings that I just ate (yummy!). Generally, food. How sad is that? When I tasted the cheese rings, I thought they were just plain crunchy rings. So I asked my maid whether my tongue had a problem or the cheese rings were not cheese-flavoured. She tasted it and she said it tasted like cheese and it was really good :(. In the end I gave her like half of the pack because for one thing, I cannot taste the ultra delicious CHEESE FLAVOUR and next I did not really feel like eating as I cannot enjoy it anyway.

OH NO!!! I caught the flu bug today. *sniff* I filled like 1/3 of the trash can with tissue paper because of this stupi cold. Had a temperature of 37.5 degress celcius. Well, at least I am not having a fever, just a LOUSY STUPID COLD. If you ask me how I'm doing now, this is what I will say: "I feel terrible, but the cold's doing great..." *sniff* I had to use the loo roll from the toilet as my tissue box just ran out. I have to get some more... like 2 more boxes

Bored during the holidays? Well I'M NOT! My mom signed me up for a holiday course (Chinese) in which I have to attend everyday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. That means I have to wake up at 7 a.m. in the morning :( . That totally sucks when i can wake up at 9+ or so. I went to watch Kung Fu Panda today. PANDA RHYMES WITH MOI NAME! That's partly the reason why I watched it. Hey, did you know that during one of the ads they show on the big screen, an adapted version of "Sing to the Dawn" has been made into a movie! Of course the modifications are quite big, but the main story is still there. Do catch it when it comes out. Watched any good movies lately?
