For all of you who caught a cold, or just to listen to what I have to say, here's what YOU can do to clear your nose (temporarily) and some don'ts when you have a cold.1. Wash a face towel (yours) with hot water. Then, fold it up until it is shaped like a small rectangle and place it on top of your nose. Press the bridge of the nose gently continuously with your hand on top of the towel (don't laugh, it really works!). After a while, when the face towel is not that hot anymore, remove it. Your nose should be quite cleared. Although it's only temporary, at least you don't suffer for that short while :) 2. Flixonase is an Aqeous Nasal Spray that can help cure your cold. You should be able to get it at a nearby pharmacy or your family doctor, or something... 3. Don't keep blowing your nose (like I did). I became Ruldolph the Red Nose Reindeer last night when I was brushing me teeth. You should have seen me! My nose was pinkish-reddish, like Ruldolph's nose! Haha, so don't keep blowing your nose :) 4. It's not good to drink cold water or any other "substnace", as it will affect the cold. My friend also suggested that you (I, actually) should not spend in an air-conditioned room for too long, and it would be best if you just switch on the fan. 5. If none of the above really helped you, then just do what you usually do when you catch a cold. As simple as that! Amanda Foo |
