They posted comments in their blog about me being small in size and 'dumb' in first choosing to play the viola and now switching to violin. They laughed at me being a newbie in violin and suggested I do not stand a chance in performing well. For those 'in-the-know', picking an instrument in SO is not a choice left to Sec 1 students. The decision is for the music teacher to make. Yes, changing the instrument from a viola to violin is due to my diminutive figure and Sze's strong recommendations. Laughing at my built is extremely insensitive and totally uncouth. It is unthinkable that the words actually came from classmates who are generally well-behaved and good students. It is a great pity that they have such foul mouths. I have no respect for such people. Luckily for me, I am always guided by God, my family and my other genuine peers.Amanda Foo |
